Pinteresting...

I recieved maybe the best compliment I've ever gotten the other night. Somebody told me that I was their favorite person to follow on Pinterest! Literally, they couldn't have made me happier if they had said I was the skinniest person they'd ever met. Ha!

Well, I think it's that time again. Time to do a Pinterest post. Here are some pins that have caught my eye lately...

Okay, I realize this is a little busy. How many lanterns do you need? But, I love it!!! The stripes are fabulous and I love the books underneath the table on the bench and in the trough. Also, I just think the layers make this all very interesting.

This chair doesn't match a darn thing in my house. But, I WANT IT! It's so funky and fun and is a great pop of color.

I cannot get over this room. Can not. Because, those curtains? Perfection. And the stools at the end of the bed? Love em! The rug and the orange stool and the green bird and the white bedding? It's all incredible. Ahhhhh!

I love the colors in this room. So pretty and calming.

This caught my eye because I think the yellow lamp, zebra print ottoman, lime green garden stool and orange wreath all look so great together!

I really, really, really want to do this to my curtains. Or, a shower curtain! I love the idea of picking out random fabrics and adding ruffles to make plain curtains more interesting.

Lot's of Color!

It's no secret that I love Pinterest. I'm pretty much obsessed. And, one thing I've been seeing a TON of lately is colorful rooms. The more color, the better! So, here are some fun rooms that I've found lately. They've really inspired me to be courageous in my own decorating... color is a GOOD THING!

Don't you want to just have a seat on those cozy armchairs? The awesome fabric, fun orange lamps and bamboo back chairs are incredible.

I don't know if I would ever have the nerve to paint my walls navy. But, this room certainly goes a long way in convincing me. The starburst mirror, garden stool and rug aren't too bad, either!

This room looks so relaxing... like it should be on an island. I adore the starburst mirror and the spindle-legged bed. And, what a cool idea to leave the walls white and paint the ceiling!

I love everything, I mean EVERYTHING, about this. The fun lamps, the antique buffet, the maps and globes and especially the use of color.

Dreaming...

I've seen some great stuff on Pinterest lately. Especially in the home decorating department. I just wanted to share some of the amazing rooms I've been drooling over. I LOVE, LOVE reds and teals. And, I mostly love them together. This room is just so pretty to me! I wouldn't change a thing...

I also like this color scheme. I wouldn't think to ever put navy, gold and pink together... but, it works! I think I can officially say that I am becoming a HUGE navy fan.

I really like this calming room. It just looks so inviting! And, every house needs a touch of animal print. Right, Mom?

I'm now on a search for a plate rack that I can put picture frames on. Such a great idea! Maybe I can find one... fingers crossed.

LOVING orange. And stripes. Together? Can't beat it.

We should seriously all have a home office this beatiful. And, that wall color is amazing. Just amazing.

Sigh. I just want to snuggle up in this sweet little room and read a book.

What I've Been Up To...

I keep meaning to blog. But, life just gets in the way sometimes. So, here's a little catch-up. I know you're so excited.

Some of my co-workers and I set up a new blog as a showcase for all the great things that are going on at our school. Right now, we've just been posting pics of our classrooms. My word... they are so adorable! You should totally check it out. It's called The Cole Train.

And, in first grade, we spent the whole week working on labeling and writing about animals. We focused on how they move and what they can do. We made a couple of cute anchor charts (that I totally forgot to take pictures of) and the kids got some opportunities to do their own writing.  I just wanted to show you some of these cutie-pie things they made. Plus, I want to be able to look back on this in May and see how far they've come.  So, here's some fabulous first grade fun... enjoy!
