Unbe"leaf"able

Oh my goodness! Have you been outside lately? In the last three days, the leaves have all changed and it is gorgeous!!

My mom and I headed to my grandma's this weekend to bring her back here for the week. And, on our way, I saw some I the prettiest leaves ever! 

Seriously, it doesn't get better than this.

And, speaking of Fall, my kiddos made some pretty sweet little Fall friends to greet our visitors at school! 

I saw these little paper plate owls on Pinterest and knew they were perfect to make during our Fall Party (which wasn't really a party, but the kids thought it was, so shhhhh!) 

They even wrote complete paragraphs with topic sentences and supporting details about owls! 

The kids had a hoot working on them! (Sorry, I had to.) 

One more thing... 

My kiddos have been making book character pumpkins. Stay tuned this week for another post about those. But, here's a little sneak peek!

Happy Halloween!

I know, it's a few days early. But I just had to share a couple pics of my puppy in her costume. 

And, look. You can judge me all you want for buying her a costume. I don't care. If I did, I certainly wouldn't post them on the internet. Ha! To me, there is nothing funnier than a puppy in a costume.

Ok, maybe not.

But I sure love it. And, I sure love her, too.

Fall Break

Life has been "full speed ahead" over here in my life. How about yours?

 I spent my entire day at my school's Fall Festival working the concession stand. It was a lot of fun, but I am wiped! Plus, I have a sore throat and a little fever. So, while I'm waiting for the Benadryl to kick in and knock me out, I thought I'd update the blog. And, my computer is still dead. So, blogging from my phone will just have to do. Since I don't feel great, this will be short on words and big on pictures. You're welcome :)

This year, we got a two-week Fall Break! It was awesome! 

I got my very first Dash and Albert rug! I'm in love, truly.

It's a pretty neat city, I have to say.

We had a lot of fun. We went to Ballard's BackRoom and the Potterybarn Outlet, too. I just wish I had bought more. Ha!

I did buy this blanket. But not for the dog. She didn't get the memo.

It was a great Fall Break. It went by too fast, believe it or not. But, I'm so thankful for the chance to just be calm and enjoy myself for a few weeks in the Fall. 

Just Because...

Well, guess what??

Here's a clue.

Uh, no. I'm not having a baby. No way. 

But... these guys are!

Which means I'm going to be an aunt!!! 

And I had to share it just because I've been keeping the secret for a really long time! I could not be more excited. Seriously could not.

Congratulations to the happy parents and to my happy parents who are finally going to have real grandchildren, in addition to their two grand dogs. 

Get ready to see lots of baby pictures on the blog starting in April! Just because I love that little thing already!

Not too much else has been going on. We start our two week Fall Break today so I'm feeling pretty good right now. Good, but tired. Just because it's been a long two months. And, october's always the point when you're like "Yeah, this is fun and all? But, so was summer. And report cards are due in, like, a day." 

And, just because I believe in posting everything I can in one post, even if they all have nothing to do with each other, I'll share some other stuff. Just because.
